Yoga with PT Wisdom
This class will combine my experience as a PT with Yoga. Each class is a full body experience, with a special focus on a specific area of the body for a period of time. I will utilize Yoga practices and education on anatomy, breathing mechanics and the nervous system, as well as optimal technique/alignment for your body. This class is designed for beginners. For those with Yoga experience, it will help refine your movements and deepen your practice as you enhance your foundation.

Come Lay Down - Restorative Yoga
The Restorative Yoga class is about deep rest. This is not about stretching. It is about releasing into support. In Restorative Yoga you have the opportunity to slow down enough to sense what is present in your body, mind and heart. In this class, you can build the capacity to settle your nervous system and move between deep rest and right sized activation. Resting or slowing down in this way is deep medicine. No experience necessary. Come lay down as an act of liberation!

Reclaim Your Attention
I offer this class with deep respect for my teacher Sarahjoy Marsh. These classes will include a mix of physical postures(asanas), breath practices (pranayama), meditation, chanting, mindfulness and Yoga philosophy. This class is focused on releasing accumulated residue and metabolizing life experience. My style is to move with deep attention. The pace is slower than a fitness or exercise class. My hope is that you will leave these classes feeling that all layers of your being have been tended. This class is designed for those with some Yoga asana experience (a strong beginning or intermediate level).

Chair Yoga
This class is based from a chair as the primary prop. So much can be tended using a chair to support the body in a seated or standing position. This class is designed for those who would be more supported using a chair than the floor. The chair can also be a wonderful way to deepen a Yoga practice by approaching postures in a new way.

MY YOGA TRAINING
I began Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with Sarahjoy Marsh, MA, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT certified yoga teacher at the Daya Foundation. Consistent yoga practice with the guidance of Sarahjoy so profoundly enhanced my wellbeing, that I decided to continue training and completed 800 hours in 2023 to receive Certified Yoga Therapist credentialing (C-IAYT).
Sarahjoy brings many facets of the Yoga Tradition to her students, teaching from all 8 Limbs, yoga philosophy, the science of Ayurveda, the importance of service and social and climate justice. She also infuses neuroscience, polyvagal theory, interpersonal neurobiology, art therapy and her mental health background into the trainings. I have heard her describe Yoga as “a discipline, a science, an art and a devotion”. Dr. Shankaranarayana Jois and Saraswati Vasuvedan are her living teachers in India; she also had the privilege of studying with Eknath Easwaran, who is no longer living. She honors her teachers from India and humbly brings forth their wisdom and the wisdom of their teachers before them. I am honored to be part of this lineage, that goes back through T.K.V. Desikachar to Sri Krishnamacharya and his teachers before him. I hope to be a clear vessel for the teachings of yoga to come through me.
The Yoga Tradition is thousands of years old and has been in a contact zone with Western culture for quite some time. As a white bodied person, it is important to me to stay true to the teachings of Yoga and not to extract and consume parts. Go HERE to read more about what Yoga means to me.
